About Finsbury Park

Finsbury Park needs little introduction as one of the most cosmopolitan and urban areas of London, but the area is going through another period of modernisation, and with it, more opportunities for those looking to relocate to the area. Traditionally one of the most diverse in the capital, Finsbury Park’s melting pot of cultures has always been reflected by the variety of shops, restaurants and business dominated by Seven Sisters Road, Blackstock Road and Stroud Green Road. Despite reinventing itself numerous times throughout its history, it seems to be going through another period of change pulling in buyers and renters typically in their early thirties and in creative industries. With the large City North development next to the station bringing more than 350 new flats, plus shops, restaurants and a multiplex cinema, we can only expect this trend to continue.

Located in N4, spread between the London Borough of Haringey, Hackney and Islington, Finsbury Park is centred around Finsbury Park Station, a major bus, rail and tube interchange and the giant 110-acre park of which it derives its name.

The North London Central Mosque (also known as the Finsbury Park Mosque) is located here and is a mecca for London’s Islamic community. While just 10 minutes’ walk from the station is the Emirates Stadium, home to Arsenal Football Club, historically one of London’s most successful teams.

Finsbury Park Highlights

Finsbury Park was one of the first of the great London parks laid out in the Victorian era, bordering the residential neighbourhoods of Harringay, Finsbury Park, Stroud Green, and Manor House, and was awarded a Green Flag Award in 2007 which it has retained ever since.

The park has a mix of open grounds, formal gardens, a lake, a children's play area, a cafe and an art exhibition space. Sports facilities in the park include football pitches, cycling club, bowling green, skatepark, athletics stadium, and tennis and basketball courts.

If you’re an American sports fan, it’s also the best place to visit for its American football field, home to the London Blitz, and diamonds for softball and baseball, also home to the London Mets.
