About Palmers Green
Characterised by streets of Edwardian and Victorian detached, semi-detached, and terraced homes, and more affordable than its neighbours Southgate and Winchmore Hill, this bustling pocket in North London’s N13 has grown in popularity with families and first-time buyers as a result.
Lying at its centre is Broomfield Park, with its 54 acres of green space, children’s play area, model boating pond, attractive lake, bandstand, tennis courts and more, which only adds to the family-friendly feel. Adorning the north side of the park is Alderman’s Hill and a delightful parade of tea shops, cafes and restaurants, a perfect place to relax after a Sunday stroll.
A 2-minute walk from the park, past the station, is Palmers Green Shopping Centre along Green Lanes, with a parade of restaurants, clothing shops, independently owned cafes, beauty salons, and The Alfred Herring (Weatherspoons), and a Morrisons.

Often nicknamed ‘Palmers Greek’, Palmers Green has always been home to a huge Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot community. The heavy concentration of restaurants, bakeries and grocers hailing from the island provide an undeniably Mediterranean feel to the area. There’s no better way to experience this than by booking a table at Nissi for a meze overlooking the park, or by stopping off for lunch at the popular Aksular opposite the triangle.

Palmers Green does not have a dedicated Underground Station, but with nearby stations in every direction at Bounds Green, Arnos Grove, Wood Green and Southgate less than 15 minutes away by bus, you’re not short of options..
Rail
Palmers Green Railway Station in Zone 4 travels directly to Moorgate and Finsbury Park.
Bus
Palmers Green is well served by London Buses routes: 34, 102, 121, 232, 329, and night bus N29. While the buses 141 and 629 terminate at the Clockhouse Junction.
